Current Situation
At 1253 on 10/14/2025, The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a possible water rescue in the area of La Sierra and the 91 Freeway. A witness reported seeing an adult “floating” down the canal that parallels the freeway, just west of La Sierra. Units arrived on scene and located the subject standing in the canal between La Sierra and Pierce. Firefighters utilized ladders and rope equipment to safely remove the subject from the canal. The subject was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
