Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a hazardous materials at the RPD Lincoln station at the request of officers to investigate and identify an unknown substance. The hazardous material team responded and arrived finding a container which held 2 glass jars of a clear substance. The Lincoln Incident was established with Battalion 2 Richmond in command. The fire department's actions included deploying entry teams, obtaining samples, and then testing those samples ultimately determining that the substance was non-hazardous. The incident took eight members two hours for deployment and identification. There were no injuries or exposures because of the incident.
