Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported fire in a large Highrise building on the 700 block of Linden Street. The fire was found on the fifth floor in a dormitory housing student from UCR. The fire was extinguished by the building’s fire protection system. The dispatched fire units performed salvage, removed water from the affected room and cleared the smoke from the building. The building was then returned to on scene building engineers and UCR police.
