    Current Situation

    On December 3, 2024, at 3:28 PM, the City of Riverside Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at a restaurant located on the corner of Madison and Indiana. Engine 10 arrived on scene and reported light smoke issuing from a single-story restaurant. Upon further investigation, an active fire was confirmed in the cooking area. The fire extended into the hood and duct system.  The City of Riverside Fire Department mounted an aggressive attack from the interior and roof of the building. The fire was contained to the broiler and hood and duct system. The fire was confirmed extinguished at 3:40 PM.

    A total of 3 Engines, 1 Truck, and 1 Battalion Chief were required for extinguishment and overhaul operations. Crews were committed to the incident for approximately 1.5 hours. No civilian or fire department injuries were reported.

    The City of Riverside Fire Prevention Division and County Health are working with the occupant to restore normal business operations.
