Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at the 7100 block of Magnolia Avenue. The first arriving unit reported light smoke coming from the stairwell of the structure. Fire department crews initiated an initial attack and found the basement of the business flooded with the water boiling from a commercial electrical panel that was submerged and smoking. A primary search of the two-story commercial structure was conducted to ensure all occupants had evacuated and fire personnel stopped all actions unit Riverside Public Utilities secured the power to the building. Once the power was shut off to the building the fire hazard was mitigated. The incident involved 16 firefighters, the Riverside Police Department and both Water and Electric Public Utilities. Battalion 1 White was in command of the Magnolia Incident and there were no reported injuries to firefighters or civilians.
