Current Situation
On 04/16/2025, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported traffic accident with major injuries in the 3500 block of Market Street. Upon arrival, the first units confirmed a multi-vehicle collision with significant damage. The first-due Engine Company identified one patient in full cardiac arrest and immediately initiated CPR. Recognizing the severity of the incident, the Engine Captain requested additional resources, including a Truck Company, Squad, and overhead support. A total of four patients were transported from the scene: one with major injuries, one with moderate injuries, and two with minor injuries. Despite aggressive life-saving efforts, the patient with major injuries was later pronounced deceased due to the extent of injuries sustained in the accident.
