Current Situation

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at the 4700 block of Monroe. The first arriving unit reported working fire conditions to the rear of a medium single-story house.  Further investigation revealed that the fire involved a secondary structure/ house to the rear of the main occupancy. Fire department crews initiated fire attack and primary search to the secondary structure, ensured evacuation of the main occupancy, and protected nearby exposures.  The incident involved 20 firefighters to achieve a quick knock down. The Fire Investigation Unit responded determining the fire to be accidental in nature.  Battalion 2 Richmond was in command of the Monroe Incident.  There were no reported injuries to firefighters or civilians.
