Current Situation
On Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 8:16 a.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm structure fire assignment to the 3200 Block of Mulberry for reports of a structure fire. Firefighters arrived to discover the occupants evacuating from their apartments. There was a fire in one apartment unit. The fire was contents in a bedroom and the fire did not spread from the room of origin.
Firefighters discovered a dog that had perished in the fire. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries. The fire is under investigation currently by the department’s arson investigator. Riverside County Animal Control was requested to the scene for removal of the deceased dog. The apartment unit is not habitable and two adult females are displaced seeking shelter with family and friends.
