Current Situation
On Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 1212 hours, The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a solo vehicle over the side off Olivewood that landed on the Union Pacific Railroad tracks in the Pachappa Cut. The rail traffic was stopped. One additional truck company was requested to respond to assist with the incident along with AMR. Olivewood was shut down in both directions of travel. Due to the complexity of the incident, the extrication equipment had to be lowered down using the aerial ladder.
The patient was extricated from the vehicle and raised out of the Pachappa Cut using the aerial ladder. The patient was transported by AMR to a local area trauma center in moderate condition.
