    On Friday, June 18, 2021 at 2:04 p.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a 1st alarm structure fire response to 6694 Palm Ave at the Las Palmas Apartment Complex for a report of an apartment on fire.  Firefighters arrived to find one apartment with a bedroom on fire with one adult male burn patient in minor condition.  The patient was awoken to his bed on fire and was able to escape the apartment.  The patient was treated on scene by fire department paramedics and transported by AMR to a local area hospital in minor condition. 

    The fire was contained to the apartment of origin with no extension of the fire to any other apartment.  The fire is under investigation by arson investigators.  The patient was displaced by the fire and will be getting assistance for housing by the apartment complex management system.  There were no firefighter injuries.

    The estimated damage is at $20,000 with a save of $1,000,000.
