    Current Situation

(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported Structure Fire on the 900 Block of Blane Ave. At approximately 0129 hours on 09/01/23. The first arriving units found smoke issuing from a two-story apartment complex.  An aggressive interior attack, in concert with well timed roof operations kept the fire from spreading from the two units involved at the time of the Fire Department’s arrival.  Once the fire was knocked down it was learned that there at least 14 persons displaced from the fire and water damage due to broken water lines in the attic.  The American Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced persons.  The cause of the fire was deemed to be accidental in nature.
