Incident Update #1:
The Incident Commander is reporting the forward progress of the fire has been stopped and is estimating a commitment time of approximately 1.5 hours.
Incident:
The City of Riverside Fire Department is on scene of a vegetation fire in the Santa Ana river bottom. Crews are making access to the fire, burning near the 2900 block of Dexter, in the area of the old boy scout camp. The fire is being reported as a 25’ x 25’ spot, burning in dense vegetation. There are currently no threats to infrastructure and no reported firefighter or civilian injuries. Battalion 1, Chief Perna is the Incident Commander. There are 5 Engines, 1 Water Tender, 1 Investigator, and 1 Battalion Chief on scene. Crews are estimating their commitment time to be approximately 1.5 hours.
