Current Situation

The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire nearest Tequesquite and the Santa Ana River bottom. Fire crews arrived reporting a 1-acre vegetation fire in heavy fuels with a potential for 5 acres and no reports of threats to infrastructure. Crews worked alongside Cal Fire units within mutual threat zones for approximately 2 hours to complete extinguishment. The River IC was established with Deputy Chief Guzzetta in a Unified Command with the Cal Fire Incident Commander.  There were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries.
