Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a vegetation fire near Tequesquite and the Santa Ana River bottom. Upon arrival the first arriving unit reported a half-acre working vegetation fire in heavy brush moving at a moderate rate of spread. The fire was also noted to be in Riverside County jurisdiction. Fire units made access for direct fire attack positioning at the location of the solar farm. The River Incident operated in a unified command with the Cal Fire Battalion Chief. City and County units worked jointly for approximately 2 hours. There were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries.
