Current Situation

On May 31st, 2025, The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire reported near Tequesquite and the Santa Ana River.  The first arriving unit reported approximately ¼ acre burning in dense vegetation with a slow rate of spread.  Fire department crews made quick access to the fire were able to keep it contained to 50’ x 100’ area.  It was later determined that the fire was in Riverside County’s Jurisdiction.  The cause of the fire undetermined but most likely human caused.  There were not any civilian or firefighter injuries reported.
