Current Situation
AT 1307 the City of Riverside Fire Department along with AMR were dispatched to a traffic collision with a patient trapped in the vehicle. Engine 8 arrived to find a large box truck on its side having struck a tree which entrapped the driver in the cab. The City of Riverside technical rescue team was requested along with a heavy wrecker tow truck. Crews were able to extricate the driver at 1341 hours using specialty equipment from the rescue team. The patient was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
