Current Situation
The City of River side Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at the 6500 block of San Diego. The first arriving engine company reported a working fire condition to the rear of the structure. Fire department crews initiated fire attack to the interior and performed vertical ventilation from the roof. A fire located in the kitchen area was quickly extinguished by 18 firefighters. The assigned Fire Investigator determined that the fire originated in the kitchen and was suspicious in nature. The investigation is ongoing with the objective of determining the cause following a thorough investigation. Battalion Chief Richmond was in command of the San Diego Incident. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported.
