Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 2800 block of Sonoma. The first arriving unit reported working fire conditions in the attached garage of a single-story house. Fire department crews initiated fire attack on the garage and a primary search was completed. Follow up reporting indicated no fire extension into the attic or residence and the occupants had safely exited prior to the arrival of fire units. The incident took 17 firefighters 1 hour to achieve a knock down, overhaul, and a cause and origin investigation. Battalion 2 Richmond in command of the Sonoma Incident. There were no reported civilian of firefighter injuries.
