Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report a vehicle collision involving multiple patients at the intersection of Streeter and Central. Upon the arrival of the first due Engine Company, they found 3 vehicles involved in the collision, with 2 vehicles in the intersection, and another that had come to rest on the front lawn of a residence after crashing through a fence. The crew quickly assessed the scene and determined that they had a total of 6 patients with one patient possibly trapped in her vehicle. The Captain requested 3 additional ambulances, a truck company, and another engine. Firefighters from the truck company worked to free one female patient from her vehicle. The patient of unknown age had major injuries and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. A male patient approximately 35 years old was transported to an area hospital in moderate condition. Finally, a family of four was transported to area hospitals with minor injuries. The intersection of Streeter and Arlington was shut down pending investigation by Riverside Police Department.
