    The City of Riverside Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 11000 Block of Metcalf Ln.  The first arriving unit found heavy smoke coming from the attic of a residential home.  Fire attack was initiated, and the fire was confined to the attic of the home.  Salvage operations were started in conjunction with the fire attack, and the homeowners possessions were saved with minimal damage.  The cause of the fire was a failure of electrical equipment in the attic.  The loss was $50000 with a save of $450000.  There were no firefighter or civilian injuries.  The Red Cross assisted with the incident for the displaced homeowner.
