Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a vegetation fire near the intersection of Sydney and Diana. Upon arrival the first arriving unit reported a working vegetation fire involving vines and vegetation on the freeway sound wall near a residential structure. Fire units made access and direct fire attack positioning at the street intersection and on the west bound 91 freeway. Battalion 2 Richmond was in command of the Sydney Incident. Crews were committed for approximately 1 hour to achieve a knock down and overhaul. There were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries.
