Current Situation

The City of Riverside Fire Department is currently on scene of a hazardous material incident at the Target located on Canyon Springs Parkway. Reports indicate a gas odor within the premises, accompanied by multiple individuals experiencing medical issues. As a precautionary measure, the building has been evacuated. Resources include:

• One Chief Officer

• Two Engine Companies

• One Truck Company

• One HazMat Team

• One Safety Officer

• 4 AMR units

• Riverside County Environmental Health

Crews are actively addressing the situation. Station coverage has been ensured. Heading the operation is Battalion 1, Vanderhorst as the Target Incident Commander.
