Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle collision with injuries. The first unit arrived on scene and found a two-vehicle traffic collision with one subject trapped. Additional resources were requested for extrication capabilities, including a Truck and Squad Company with a Battalion Chief. The first arriving Engine company provided EMS care with the assistance of AMR while the Truck and Squad conducted rescue operations. The driver was extricated from the vehicle in critical condition and transported to a local trauma center. Battalion 2 Chief White was the Jackson IC and RPD remains on scene conducting the investigation. Expect delays on Jackson Street from Garfield to Magnolia.
