    Current Situation

    On February 21, 2025, at 0040 hours, the City of Riverside Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vegetation fire in the Santa Ana River Bottom. The incident was reported in the area of Bonaminio Park, near Tequesquite Ave. and Gregory Rd. The first arriving unit reported a vegetation fire burning in dense vegetation, with several palm trees involved.

    A total of 3 Engines, 1 Brush Truck, 1 Arson Investigator, and 1 Battalion Chief were required for extinguishment, investigation, and overhaul operations. Crews were committed for approximately 2 hours.

    No civilian or firefighter injuries have been reported. The Arson Investigator was able to determine the origin of the fire. The cause is under investigation.
