Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department, the Police Department, and AMR responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Alessandro and Chicago. There were additional reports of people trapped. The first arriving engine company officer reported a collision between two vehicles, one of which was on its passenger side. Each vehicle contain a solo driver. The driver of the vehicle on its side was extricated by a truck company. The other driver was able to get out of their vehicle on their own. The driver who was extricated was transported to a local hospital and the other driver was contemplating not going to a hospital. The collision damaged at least on light signal pole. The Riverside Police Department is currently investigating the collision and will handle all further requests for incident information.
