Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported Commercial Structure Fire at the University of California Riverside. First arriving units reported an approximately 40X60 metal building with heavy smoke issuing from the gable vents. E9 crew deployed a single 1 ¾” hose line and extinguished the fire. The contents of the building were miscellaneous items locked in separate fenced off areas within the building. The fire was completely overhauled after Fire Investigation was completed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation however it does not look to be malicious in nature. There was a single minor injury to a Fire Fighter documented.
