Current Situation
On May 7th, 2025, the Riverside Fire Department responded to a medical aid at a construction site at the University of California Riverside. The first arriving crews found one patient with moderate extremity injury on the roof of a 4-story building under construction. The injury was the result on a 15’ fall. The fire department’s technical rescue team responded to assist with removing the patient from the building using a rope rescue system and aerial ladder. One patient was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
