Current Situation
The Riverside City Fire Department responded to a reported commercial structure fire on the 9500 block of Magnolia. While enroute Battalion 2 reported smoke showing from the station. Upon arriving on scene the first due Engine company reported a working fire in a medium sized commercial structure. The fire quickly grew to a 3 alarm fire in order to control the fire.
The fire was found to be on the second floor of the structure and an aggressive interior attack was begun. Shortly after committing to an offensive attack the roof of the structure became compromised and the incident was quickly switched to a defensive fire. The fire was brought under control in approximately 45 minutes.
Through the efforts of the Riverside Fire Department 3 other buildings and respective businesses were saved from the fire.
