    Current Situation

    The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported vegetation fire in the Santa Ana riverbottom near Glenwood Drive and Gregory Road.  The first arriving unit found approximately 1/4 of an acre of vegetation burning near the bike path in a mixture of grass and trees.  Units initiated a fire attack on the fire and contained it the area of origin.  Two units from Cal Fire responded to the incident due to the mutual threat area and assisted with extinguishment.  There were no firefighter injuries and no damage to infrastructure.  Crews overhauled the area before clearing the scene.

    The cause of the incident was undetermined after a thorough investigation of the area.
