    Current Situation

    RFD responded to a vegetation fire in the river bottom at 13:35. The fire spread was very rapid. We have been in unified command with Cal Fire and San Bernardino County Fire Departments. The fire is now contained to 50% and forward progress of the fire has been stopped. There are 25 Engines, 7 Overhead, 1 Dozer and 4 Hand Crews. There have been no injuries to civilians or firefighters. Crews will remain on scene for approximately 4-5 hours for mop up. There was no damaged structures and the Homeless Outreach Team is on scene. The fire was caused by a homeless encampment.
