Current Situation

The City of River side Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at the 6900 block of Yellowstone. The first arriving unit reported working fire conditions in the garage area of a residential house. The next in company officer arrived establishing the Yellowstone Command and then assigning resources for offensive fire attack. Fire department crews initiated attack inside the garage and then confirmed no fire extension into the house. The occupants had exited the structure prior to our arrival, but a primary search was completed nonetheless.  Extinguishment was achieved at the fire origin by 17 firefighters.  The assigned Investigator determined that the cause was accidental in nature. At the conclusion, the house was released back to the owner.  Battalion Chief Richmond was in command. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported.
