Senior Rental Assistance Programs
The City of Riverside offers three rental assistance programs for senior residents who meet income and housing criteria. To apply, please email [email protected].
1. Mobile Home Park Homeowners Rental Assistance Program
- Must be at least 62 years old
- Household income must be between 50% and 80% of Area Median Income (AMI)
2. Senior Rental Assistance Program
- Must be at least 62 years old
- Must be paying more than 40% of household income towards rent
- Household income must not exceed 50% of AMI
- Must be on a City of Riverside emergency shelter bed.
3. Supplemental Senior Rental Assistance Program
- Must be at least 62 years old
- Household income must not exceed 50% of AMI
- Must be paying more than 40% of household income towards rent

* For the Mobile Home Park Homeowners Rental Assistance Program, income must be between 50% and 80% of AMI.
** For the Supplemental and Senior Rental Assistance Programs, income must not exceed 50% of AMI.
4. Mobile Home Rental Assistance Program (MHET RAP)
Administered by the Manufactured Housing Educational Trust (MHET), this program provides monthly rent subsidies to qualified mobile home park residents while they wait for Section 8. Subsidies are typically 10% of the rent and are funded by the park owners.
