Celebrating Riverside Connect’s 50th Anniversary with Free Promotional Days
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Riverside Connect is celebrating 50 years of providing reliable and accessible transportation to seniors and persons with disabilities with free rides on several special days throughout 2025, starting Tuesday, Feb. 4, to thank the community for its continued support.
Riverside Connect is an origin-to-destination advanced reservation transportation service. The City of Riverside’s Special Transportation program was established in 1975 and has grown from one bus to a fleet of more than 30 buses.
These promotional days are a perfect opportunity for new and existing riders to experience the convenience and accessibility of Riverside Connect. Enjoy a free ride on:
- Transit Equity Day – Tuesday, Feb. 4
- Earth Day – Tuesday, April 22
- Special Transportation 50th Anniversary – Tuesday, June 10
- Dump the Pump Day – Tuesday, June 17
- Car-Free Day – Monday, Sept. 22
- California Clean Air Day – Thursday, Oct. 2
Service Details: Riverside Connect honors any current valid identification card issued to individuals with disabilities by other transit operators for paratransit services. Riders can rely on this service to reach essential appointments, social gatherings, and errands with ease.
Service Hours
Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday: 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Holidays – 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Ride Request Hours
Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Holidays: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
To request a ride, call 951-687-8080. Customers may schedule rides 1-3 days in advance, with advance notice encouraged for efficient scheduling. When calling, riders should be prepared with the following information:
- Date and time of travel
- Pick-up time and address
- Destination address
- Appointment time (if applicable)
- Return time and address
- Mobility aid details (e.g., wheelchair, walker, service animal)
- Confirmation of whether traveling with a companion or an authorized personal care attendant. (Companions must pay the full fare)
