City of Riverside Fire Department Teams with ABC 7 for Spark of Love Toy Drive

Published: 11/12/2018

The City of Riverside Fire Department launches the Spark of Love Toy Drive celebrating the holidays with fun. This is a great time to be together with family and friends. However, sometimes the holidays can also be difficult for those who cannot be with their families or who are under served. The hustle, bustle, and pressure of giving and receiving for some can make celebrating the holidays less than desirable. The Spark of Love Program has partnered with ABC and the City of Riverside Fire Department to help bring back the excitement and enjoyment of the holidays for less fortunate families. The Spark of Love Program has started and runs through December 24th.

You can bring new unwrapped toys to any one of our fourteen fire stations in the City of Riverside. Also, many local businesses are accepting unwrapped toys, just look for the large “Spark of Love” boxes that are easily accessible. The fire department regularly collects the toys from the local businesses.

We help over 5,000 children each year that, without your help, would not have a Christmas at all. To make that happen again this year, we need help with donations. You can donate a new, unwrapped toy or sporting good item to any one of our 14 fire stations.
