City of Riverside to Hold “Spirit of Riverside Fourth of July Celebration Week”
Week of public service events starts Monday
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The City of Riverside will hold a Spirit of Riverside Fourth of July Celebration Week starting Monday, including a week of activities that allow residents to honor our nation’s independence through service to others.
The week kicks off on Monday with an Act of Service Day and concludes on July 4th with a Bike With the Mayor event. Residents are encouraged to document on social media, using the hashtag #SpiritofRiverside, ways they are celebrating with friends or family, how they are decorating their homes and businesses in patriotic themes, and how they view the city’s spirit.
“Riverside is a patriotic community, and the Spirit of Riverside celebration gives us a way to demonstrate that patriotism all week long,” Mayor Rusty Bailey said. “Whether its showing love to your neighbors through acts of service or enjoying a family bike ride with me on July 4th, I challenge all Riversiders to safely celebrate, connect, and serve.”
Options for participating in the Spirit of Riverside event include joining into the National Anthem Singing Collage, which will be broadcast on RiversideTV and the City’s social media platforms. Specific information can be found at https://riversideca.gov/spiritofriverside.
