Festival of Lights Street Closures

The following full road closures will be in place in order to accommodate tomorrow’s Festival of Lights switch-on ceremony:

• Orange Street will be closed between Mission Inn Avenue and 6th Street, and scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. on January 2, 2024.

  • • 9th Street will be closed between alley west of Orange Street and alley east of Market Street, and scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. on January 2, 2024.
  • • Mission Inn Avenue will be closed between Market Street and Lime Street beginning at 6 p.m. on November 17th,  and scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. on January 2, 2024.
  • • University Avenue will be closed between Market Street and Orange Street, beginning at 7 a.m. on November 18th and scheduled to reopen at 12 a.m. on November 19th.
  • • 6th Street and 5th Street will be closed at Main Street, beginning 7 a.m. on November 18th and scheduled to reopen at 12 a.m. on November 19th.
  • • The westbound 91 Freeway exit ramp at Mission Inn Avenue will be closed between 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on November 18th.
  • • 6th Street will be closed between Orange Street and Main Street (Mission Inn Valet Parking Only), beginning 7 a.m. on November 19th and am (11/19) and scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. on January 7, 2024.
  • • Mission Inn Avenue will be closed between Market Street and Orange Street every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. beginning November 19th to January 5, 2024 (except Thanksgiving Day)

 

Please anticipate heavy traffic in the downtown Riverside area for the entire Festival of Lights event through January 2nd, but especially for the switch-on ceremony tomorrow on November 18th.  For all Festival of Lights information, visit RiversideCA.gov.
