Riverside City Council Seeks Community Input on Next City Manager
Community members are invited to share their priorities through a bilingual survey and an
in-person community forum
Riverside, CA – The Riverside City Council is launching two opportunities for Riverside residents, businesses, and community stakeholders to help shape the search for the City’s next City Manager.
First, the City is launching a community survey in both English and Spanish. The survey will give residents, business owners, and other stakeholders an accessible way to share their perspectives on Riverside’s priorities and the leadership attributes the next City Manager should bring to the role. The online survey will launch on October 9, 2026, and will remain open until Friday, October 23, 2026, at 5 p.m.
Second, the City will host an in-person community forum on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Riverside Airport Terminal, 6951 Flight Road, Riverside. The in-person forum will provide participants with an opportunity to learn more about the recruitment process and offer direct input that will help inform the City Council’s selection of Riverside’s next City Manager. The forum will be facilitated by the City’s recruitment firm, Jacob Green & Associates, with Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation available.
“Selecting Riverside’s next City Manager is one of the most important decisions we will make as a City Council. We need an experienced, capable leader who values transparency, accountability, and delivering results for our residents,” said Councilmember Steven Robillard, who is overseeing the recruitment process. “It’s important that our community has a voice in this process, and I encourage residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to share their thoughts on the qualities and priorities they want to see in our next City Manager. Ultimately, our goal is to find someone who can work effectively with the City Council, lead our organization, and help move Riverside forward.”
