Riverside Sings! Auditions May 21-22, Summer Concert Series Launches June 12
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department (PRCSD) Summer Concerts Series will begin June 12. This free, family-oriented series provides a fun and exciting experience for all ages to enjoy and includes live music with some of the best local artists from Southern California.
The annual Summer Fun Concerts in the Park series takes place each Wednesday beginning June 12 – July 24 from 6-9 p.m. at Fairmount Park, 2601 Fairmount Blvd. Participants are encouraged to bring a blanket, lawn chair and their dancing shoes! Food vendors and refreshments will be available, including a beer garden hosted by the Riverside Community Services Foundation, with all proceeds generating scholarships for underserved communities.

Adding to the fun is the friendly competition in the “Riverside Sings!” vocal contest. Do you have what it takes to be the next Riverside Sings Champion? The top contestants sing live at one of the Summer Concerts in the park and have a chance to win up to $2,000 in cash and prizes. Auditions are held May 21 for ages 5 – 12 years old, and May 22 for ages 13+, from 5:30-9 p.m., and will take place at the Cesar Chavez Auditorium, 2060 University Ave. Pre-registration costs $20 and closes Monday, May 20 at 5 p.m. On-site registration will be accepted the night of auditions for $30 until 4:30 p.m. Register on rivereg.org using code #0012.
