Statement of the City of Riverside regarding reports on the late Cesar Chavez

The City of Riverside, which has a community center named after Cesar Chavez and a statue of Cesar Chavez on the Main Street Mall, makes the following statement:

“The City of Riverside is aware of the reports involving the alleged conduct of the late Cesar Chavez. Like a lot of Californians, we are shocked by the reports and processing potential next steps.”
