City Manager Scott Barber
Scott Barber was selected by the Mayor and City Council as the City Manager, effective December 6, 2011. Scott was the City's Director of Community Development for the past six years and has almost twenty-five years of municipal government experience.
Scott has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Riverside, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration, from California Baptist University.

City Works with California State Controller to Complete Property Transfers, Only $64,000 Remains at QuestionOn May 16, 2013 the City of Riverside received its long-awaited Asset Transfer Review from the State Controller's Office (SCO) allowing the City to complete the transfer of approximately 70 former Redevelopment Agency assets. The City attempted to transfer these properties to the Successor Agency, but was unable to obtain title insurance to complete the transactions.
