Docents in Victorian dress provide a 45-minute tour of the house and gardens. On select Sundays throughout the year, the docents present a "Living History" day when visitors step into the hustle and bustle of a busy Victorian household as costumed docents go about "living" in the house.
Heritage House welcomes school classes and other group tours. Our school tours are aimed at supporting California State Standards for Riverside's third graders.
Volunteers at Heritage House host many special events each year ... Christmas Open House, Ice Cream Social, and Victorian Garden Teas in the spring and fall. Please contact Teresa Woodard at (951) 826-5273, or via email at [email protected].
Heritage House is always seeking new volunteers to participate in our tours and programs. Training classes are conducted every fall and spring and are scheduled at the mutual convenience of our docent trainer and our docent trainees.
