Independent Contract Class instructors wanted!

Do you have a special talent or skill you are interested in sharing? The PRCSD is looking for new instructors for instruction of residents of all ages.

The City of Riverside is dedicated to building strong communities through recreational and enrichment opportunities. The PRCSD utilizes independent contract instructors to provide recreational services to our community that are designed for preschoolers, school age children, teens, adults, seniors and families.

Please review the handbook for details on the Contract Class Program and complete the Class Proposal Application.

If the class proposal is approved, potential instructors will be contacted for an interview otherwise the application will remain on file for one year. Upon approval, all instructors are required to be fingerprinted at the cost of the applicant, provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance and Endorsement page naming the City of Riverside as additionally insured, workers compensation insurance or waiver letter, as well as a City of Riverside Business License. Do not submit this information until requested to do so during the process.

Refund Policy:

Refunds will not be granted unless class is cancelled. Credits will be issued for the amount of the course if the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is notified before the second class meeting. Exceptions – Special Events, Aquatics, Lifeguard Training, Day Camps, and After School programs, due to high demand and limited spacing, credits, transfers or refunds will not be issued.
Refunds will not be granted for Youth Sports programs, however credits will be issued if requested in writing two weeks prior to the first scheduled game.
Online registration transaction fees are non-refundable.
