VolunTeen Internship Program (V.I.P)

 


The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCSD) is currently seeking interested teens/young adults to be part of its V.I.P Program to volunteer and learn imperative job skills with recreational programs. In addition, VolunTeens and City staff will unite for the common purpose of building community relations and increasing participants’ knowledge of City operations. V.I.P Program Requirements
Teens must be 14 – 18 years of age

  • 18 year olds may participate, if graduating/continuing high school; they will need to be fingerprinted prior to turning 18

Teens must be available to volunteer for a minimum of 8 to a maximum of 40 hours per week and may have the opportunity for employment with the PRCSD upon completion.

 

 


Refund Policy:

Refunds will not be granted unless class is cancelled. Credits will be issued for the amount of the course if the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is notified before the second class meeting. Exceptions – Special Events, Aquatics, Lifeguard Training, Day Camps, and After School programs, due to high demand and limited spacing, credits, transfers or refunds will not be issued.
Refunds will not be granted for Youth Sports programs, however credits will be issued if requested in writing two weeks prior to the first scheduled game.
Online registration transaction fees are non-refundable.
