Programs

The Bourns Family Youth Innovation Center offers an array of programming for all ages and skill levels. Offerings include certifications, career advancement and Career Technical Education (CTE), test prep and academic aid, the arts, computer courses, music and film production, and more. ASP/KIA

In the Riverside Kids in Action (KIA) Program, youth participate in STEAM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) Community center staff conducts drop-in after-school activities for youth 5 - 12 years old to promote and enhance self-esteem in a supervised environment. Activities include homework help, science experiments, intro to 3d printing, intro to music production, intro to video game building, crafting with tech & much more! Note: This program does not meet on City holidays, school holidays, school in-service and/or minimum days and operates during the traditional school year. Registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis and a wait list will be taken after capacity is reached.

 

Adult/Family Education

The Bourns Family Youth Innovation Center offers classes to all ages! Adult classes include but are not limited to: Sewing, Crafting with Tech, Intro to 3d Printing, Entrepreneur Workshops, Speaker Series & much more!

 


Refund Policy:

Refunds will not be granted unless class is cancelled. Credits will be issued for the amount of the course if the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is notified before the second class meeting. Exceptions – Special Events, Aquatics, Lifeguard Training, Day Camps, and After School programs, due to high demand and limited spacing, credits, transfers or refunds will not be issued.
Refunds will not be granted for Youth Sports programs, however credits will be issued if requested in writing two weeks prior to the first scheduled game.
Online registration transaction fees are non-refundable.
