At Home in Riverside
Sycamore Canyon Springs
Two major annexations by the City of Riverside, one in 1969 and the other in 1984, make up the land that is Sycamore Canyon. Being a newcomer to the city, the region is less than half developed. These areas include no residential properties; rather they are intended to provide for the City’s future when large-scale development does occur, four separate specific plans will guide its course to ensure a well-designed eastern edge of the city. Light industrial firms and office complexes are the only residents of the neighborhood for now, but plans call for large-scale residential development of the area as well. This neighborhood will provide an economic base from which the entire city will benefit. This entire region is situated upon the rolling hill terrain that characterizes the eastern edge of Riverside.
