Riverside's unique agriculture setting offers dry creek beds, lush orange groves, mountains and valleys, scrub trees and towering pines, numerous parks and Lake Evans as well as a thriving urban downtown featuring an art and entertainment district, alleyways and a pedestrian Main Street.

Riverside is home to many historic buildings including the county courthouse, a gorgeous, Beaux-Arts Classics building was built over 100 years ago. The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa, a Spanish Mission masterpiece that is the perfect backdrop for any elegant setting. Fox Theater, our Spanish Colonial Revival theater house and the first public screening sight for Gone with the Wind. After a 2007 full renovation it’s a staple in the Downtown Entertainment District. As well as Benedict Castle a Medieval Spanish property have all served as backdrops for several silver screen and major motion pictures.

Film permits are required for both public and private property commercial productions, student and non-profit filming and photography within the City of Riverside.
