César Chávez Community Center Renovation
The City of Riverside has partnered with ELS Architecture and Urban Design to renovate the Cesar Chavez Community Center at Bobby Bonds Park.
Project Goals
- Enhance structural strength and longevity
- Update public event spaces
- Improve accessibility
- Comply with contemporary building codes
Funding and Prioritization
The City has been awarded a $25 million grant for the project. The initial phase will concentrate on critical code upgrades and addressing deferred maintenance. Following the development of a prioritized list and the calculation of related costs, any remaining funds will be allocated towards enhancing the facility to better support arts programming and community-oriented social services.
