Western Water

Western Municipal Water District (Western Water) and Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) have a strong history of working together to find solutions to meet the region’s water needs. In 2017, they reached a significant agreement whereby Western Water would purchase surplus water from the City of Riverside in the San Bernardino Basin Area. Additionally, Western Water would cover the costs associated with transporting, or "wheeling," this water into its service area.
