Volunteering

The City of Riverside is thrilled to announce the launch of a new website dedicated to volunteerism!

The City’s Get Connected website highlights the ways Volunteers build a sense of community for, with, and through others. Volunteers take on important roles of coordinating community education events, acting as tour guides, leading book sale fundraisers, and modeling good sportsmanship as a youth sports coaches. In fact, each year, more than 600 volunteers contribute over 40,000 hours of their personal time to positively influence the community in which they live, work, or have close ties to. Whatever YOUR talent or interest is, there is likely to be a volunteer opportunity for you!

Look at our active programs and available opportunities. Once you have found an opportunity, share your interest with us by creating an account and ‘responding’ to the opportunity. Be sure to contact the department for which you wish to volunteer for. You will receive an email with next steps. Depending on a variety of factors, you may hear from us quickly or it may take several weeks. Either way, we are excited to know of your interest!
